Ten Questions with Willie Spears!

 

1. Do you write books and speak full time? No. I am a teacher and a coach.

2. If you were not an author and motivational speaker you would probably be a- High School Football Coach. (I am!)

3. What is your favorite thing to eat? I like buffet food. Like Golden Corral or a mom and pops buffet.

4. Do you have a nickname? My family calls me Little David. Growing up my friends called me Potato Head. In college I called myself Big Will Dog and Da Nickel.

5. If you could have a dinner party with five famous people, dead or alive, who would you invite? I would invite Jesus (in the flesh), Joseph from the old testament, David, Paul, and Moses.

How about people not in the bible? Billy Graham, Martin Luther King, Jr., Barack Obama, Muhammad Ali, and Michael Jordan.

6. What is your favorite song in your iPod? I don’t have an iPod. In your automobile? Thi'sl. What song? Urban Missionary

7. What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Deacon Brundidge was an older deacon in my church growing up. The Sunday before I left to go to college he told me: “You will be away from home and away from these godly influences; don’t act like it.”

8. People may not know: That my wife and I were good friends in high school and I proposed to her by walking from our old bus stop to her house door steps where we kissed as teenagers.

9. In ten years you will be: Living. Hopefully living.

10. Who is your favorite Author? Growing up I read books by Donald J. Sobol and Judy Blume. As an adult my favorite author is John C. Maxwell.
